Hakim always thought of himself as an American. After all, he was born in California and lived near Portland, Oregon.
Then the government put him on the terrorist watch list. His life fell apart: his wife left, he was detained by the police, and his drivers license was revoked.
A social media influencer finds out Hakim is on the watch list and begins to paint him as a public enemy and an outsider in his own country.
